Strings and Things Quartet Performance

A string quartet from Strings & Things will perform “The Music Of Old Broadway”, a concert presenting decades of Broadway favorites from 1754 to 1994. The free concert will be held at Urbanna Baptist Church on Sunday, October 9th at 7:00 PM. Members of the quartet include from left, Peggy Watson (violin) from Newport News, Beth Austin (viola) from Newport News, Valerie DeBrava (violin) from Gloucester Point, and Nina Buzby (cello) from Mathews.

Founders Day: A Celebration of Urbanna’s Colonial History

This year's presentation: "Separation of Church and State" featuring reenactors Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry Established in 1680, Urbanna is one of the oldest towns in America! Celebrate the founding of this port town starting with the tobacco and oyster trades. The balladeers fife and drums will begin the festivities at 10:15am in the heart of Urbanna. A presentation will be held at Urbanna Baptist Church, 121 Watling Street, Urbanna, VA at 11am. Sponsored by Friends of Urbanna

The free concert will be held at Urbanna Baptist Church on Sunday, December 3rd at 5:00 PM. Members of the quartet include from left, Peggy Watson (violin) from Newport News, Nina Buzby (cello) from Mathews, Beth Austin (viola) from Hampton, and Alice Cryer (violin) from Williamsburg.
