Wine Down Friday
Nothing says “River Realm time” like a Wine Down Friday at Good Luck Cellars where the weekend starts on the porches overlooking the vineyards or in front of the fireplace. Sample wines and nosh on rotating food trucks such as unique taco choices (local oysters, Cuban pork & jerk chicken) from Byrd’s Seafood food truck and get mellow with tunes from local musician Bob Wilson.

Sail & Surf With Your Crew
Set sail or take surf lessons in the River Realm with Sail & Surf Adventures. This is sure to be a memorable bonding experience for you and your girls!

Wine & Brine
Find several ways to get your wine on! Try Vine, a wonderful tasting room with curated wines, craft beers and small bite plates or the Dog and Oyster Micro-Vineyard, a vineyard with tastings served in a flight and a unique and creative oyster bar, on the grounds of the Hope and Glory Inn, Or stop in at Dredge for happy hour and their amazing array of cocktails.

Calm Your Mind Spa Time
Want a zero pressure weekend? Start by making the Tides Inn Spa you’re first stop. From Himalayan Hot Stone massages to the Tide and Thyme body polish, you’ll feel like a new person once you hand yourself over to the talented staff.

SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP
The River Realm is home to many unique boutiques whether for you, your BFF’s or for your homestead. No chain stores here, just friendly merchants who will help you find that special something. Head out to Kilmarnock, Irvington, White Stone, Lively, Saluda, Urbanna or Deltaville- and go fashion hunting.

OUTDOOR FITNESS FUN
Get a great core workout without the bore. Kayaking or paddle board on quiet coves for your zen side or ride the ripple of the tide for the adventurer in you. Hike the nature trails at Belle Isle State Park and soar like the eagle you are.

Merroir Tasting Room
Kick back riverside, indoors or out, at this local favorite. Grab a beer during the summer at their boat converted to their outdoor bar. These guys raise oysters for a living-this place is shucktastic.

Tides Inn
Amazing views are waiting for you on the shores of Carter’s Creek. From gourmet to casual, Tides brings the four star experience. Sunset drinks on the patio are a must.

Dredge
Grab dinner or a late night cocktail with a Caribbean flair. This intimate restaurant is just the place to share your secrets with the girls.

The Table at Wilton
Chef Helen brings her ‘A’ game with her unique style and flavors. Grab breakfast, lunch or dinner there or take it with you with their new to-go location!

Chesapeake Inn
13 boutique suites in the heart of adorable, walkable Urbanna. Shopping, dining is just footsteps away.

Hope and Glory Inn
It’s a former school house but no strict teachers here. Only shabby chic, glorious garden rooms and an outdoor claw foot tub for the most decadent experience. (Yes, it’s enclosed.) Recognized as one of “The South’s Best Inns” by Southern Living Magazine.

Beautifully located on its own peninsula, these 4 Star accommodations are sure to please. Paddleboard yoga, bee keeping tours or sunset cruises are but some of the unique experiences for your girls.

Craft Beer Festival
Chill out to live music while you try some of the 12 craft beers at this festival. All this at one of Virginia’s premier 18th century church grounds.

August 8th
Irvington Crab Festival
Finish a Shop-A –holic weekend with an old fashioned crab pickin’. The Steamboat Era Museum turns out a feast.

October 10th
Urbanna Wine
& Oyster Stroll
Sip, slurp and enjoy the walk through Urbanna on a fall evening. Tastings, live music and a little vino make for a great night.

November 21st
Taste by the Bay
Try food samplings from around the River Realm accompanied by wines from the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail. Great shopping for unique items. Perfect way to recharge with your BFFs before the holidays.
