On Friday, and Saturday August 18th and 19th – Take a tour of Luna, a working replica of an early 18th century coastal trading sloop and floating classroom. Luna will be tied up at A00 at Safe Harbor Stingray Point, courtesy of the Colonial Seaport Foundation.
On Friday, August 18 at 6:00 PM – Safe Harbor Stingray Point and Stingray Harbour Yacht Club are hosting the Skipper Welcome Dinner for the race skippers and their crew. The Midnight Coal Company, will be dishing out some serious rock n’ roll, while Smokin’ Joe Davenport dishes up some serious BBQ. On Saturday, August 19 at 9:00 AM – Fishing Bay Yacht Club is holding the Rescue Regatta, a pursuit-style race on the Rappahannock and Chesapeake Bay. Register to race at https://www.regattanetwork.
On Saturday, August 19 at 6:00 PM – The MCVRS Auxiliary will serve a buffet style chicken and shrimp Awards Feast at the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad station house at 17684 General Puller Hwy. You can also feast on the hearty sounds of Justice Goldstar featuring Beth Justice of Sweet Justice fame. One must RSVP by purchasing dinner tickets at https://rescueregatta.life/.
