Capt. Chris Dollar’s “Chesapeake Youth Fishing Camps” sponsored by Tackle Cove Outfitters teaches girls and boys (grades 5-8, entering Fall 2024) fishing skills, knot tying as well as how to use fishing gear and tools. Campers will also learn about the importance of a healthy Chesapeake and Bay ecology. Conditions permitting, campers will fish from a 20-foot center console and 11-foot, very stable fishing kayaks in the Carter’s Creek area off the Rappahannock River.
Enrollment is limited to four (4) campers per session to ensure a safe and quality experience. Sibling/Family groups welcomed, and no experience required. Tuition is $295.00* and includes a camp T-Shirt and an Angler Starter Kit, a $50 value. Email for registration/health form. (*Credit cards accepted online. Processing fee applied.)
When: Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
June Sessions: 11-12; 18-19; 25-26.
July Sessions: 16-17; 25-26; 30-31.
August Sessions: 13-14; 20-21; 27-28.
Where: Carter’s Creek and Rappahannock River area. Drop off in Irvington VA.
