WHAT IS THAT DAMN MARY BREWING COMPANY? Glad you asked. We are a craft brewery located in Kilmarnock, Virginia (that’s in Lancaster County) and utilize a 7-barrel system to make some of the best damn beers you’ve ever tasted.

WHO THE HELL IS MARY? MJ Anderson (aka Mary) is the owner and Damn Mary Overlord of That Damn Mary Brewing. The brewery name comes from her alter ego, “that damn Mary,” who behaves from time to time in ways MJ NEVER would. MJ’s passion for beer is equal to her passion for life. “Choosing my favorite beer is like choosing a favorite child,” she says. “It just depends on what I’m doing…or, well, EATING. Whether it’s fresh-steamed local crabs, to a steak on the grill to spicy enchiladas and then ending up with a big slab of cheesecake, we have a damn good beer for you!” Aside from being a brewmaster, MJ’s a singer/songwriter, seeker of wisdom, outdoors freak, and lover of all things that make people Mary.

OUR BEERS: Our beers are not only exceptional in taste, but we do everything we can to be as green and sustainable as possible and use as many Virginia sources as we can find―the better to do right by our community. With a 7-barrel system for mainstays and a half-barrel pilot system for experimental brews and collaborations, we keep things fresh and sell everything we brew on-site.
