Kilmarnock Inn Valentine’s Day Dinner

The Kilmarnock Inn will feel like a home away from home for your and your partner, but with a few perks. This boutique hotel is also bringing the power of River Realm love to you through a special evening with a three-course meal and champagne. Get a head start and reserve your dinner on Thursday instead of Friday. If you decided to stay in the adorable inn for another day, be sure to explore the town of Kilmarnock and come back for Prime Rib Night on Saturday evening!
Wine Down Friday at Good Luck Cellars
Friday, February 14, 5- 8 p.m.
Did you know oysters are an aphrodisiac? They’re also sort of sensual to eat, especially when paired with wine. Byrd Seafood’s famous food truck will be at Good Luck Cellars sharing the oyster love in the form of tacos, raw oysters, and other imaginative seafood creations. If you like music, you’ll love Bob Wilson who will be there playing live, too. Get ready to dance. If you can’t make it on the big day, Byrd Seafood is at the winery every second and fourth Friday of the month.
Portside Grill Valentine’s Day Dinner
February 14, Friday Reservation seating times for 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m.
Waterfront dining is sort of our thing around here in the River Realm. Portside Grill in Urbanna is one of our new go-to spots. The restaurant’s menu blends classic seafood dishes and burgers inspired by grandma’s cookbook with a variety of more creative culinary offerings. For Valentine’s Day, you should make room to try them all. The special dinner menu features a selection of dishes like seared duck lollipops, praline caesar salad, shrimp and grits, crabcakes, raspberry creme brulee and more.

Hope & Glory Inn Valentine’s Day Dinner
February 14-15, Friday or Saturday
Few places capture the laid-back luxury of the River Realm like the Hope & Glory Inn. The quirky boutique hotel is full of character, which nods to its schoolhouse past. Its amenities and dining are world class. Come and stay in the main house or reserve your own cottage for the weekend. Enjoy a three-course dinner by Chef Meseret Crockett featuring Rouge Beet Vichyssoise, Chateaubriand, Crème Brulee shaved du chocolat, and a bottle of wine. You can make reservations for just dinner or eat and stay the night! A two night minimum is required. Best rates are achieved by calling.
Wine & Cherries Weekend with the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail
Saturday and Sunday, February 15-16
The Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail is hosting a fun Valentine’s Day weekend event at all of it’s participating wineries, including our very own Dog & Oyster Vineyard and Good Luck Cellars. Each winery will offer cherry treats throughout the weekend to pair with their wines. Sit back, relax, take in the view and our region’s award winning spirits.
