A great independent bookstore on the Best Little Side street in Kilmarnock-West Church! The Bookshelf on Church is a community-focused, independent bookshop.

We were formerly known as The Bookshelf, Irvington, when we launched as a novel-model shop, stocking books on a solo bookshelf at The Local, the coffee shop in the town of Irvington. We grew steadily through author events, book clubs and sales from our little shelf, working toward a dream of our own space. When the opportunity presented itself, we took the leap!
