The photographs tell most of the story, but not all. Here, you are a short bike ride away from the iconic Tides Inn resort, the Local coffee shop, the Steamboat Era museum, The Vine Wine Bar, Hope and Glory Oyster and Wine bar and many more shops and attractions. Irvington is a historic town on the Chesapeake Bay, home to sea captains and watermen who defined an era that lives on in the architecture and streets and, of course, the menus of the town.
Love the water? There are many options for getting on the water from private sail charters, fishing guides, eco-friendly tour on our private Duffy (reservations required), kayak rentals and watermen tours.
Mad Calf Cottage is complete with full kitchen, luxury suite with king bed/bath, WIFI, outdoor shower and fireplace. The en suite bath boasts a double vanity complete with all amenities you would expect to find in an upscale resort. The romantic shower for two is all tile with shower head, rain head and a convenient hand-held shower wand. There is also an outdoor shower for those preferring to be with mother nature.
The over-sized porch is a delightful place for your morning coffee and for your evening sunsets. If your visit is during the cooler months, curl up next to the outdoor fireplace with a glass of wine.
The kitchen is equipped with a full-size fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. All dishes, pots and pans and cutlery as well as other small appliances are there for your added convenience.

Bicycles and tennis racquets (tennis courts in town) are complimentary.

Mad Calf Cottage is next door to us on its own private lot. We respect your privacy and many times do not even cross paths when guests are visiting. Although our primary house in on the water, Mad Calf Cottage is not. However, we would love to have you join us on the dock for a cup of coffee or glass of wine! Just let us know when you visit so we can make sure our pooch is secure in our house.

A la carte items for purchase, such as breakfast items, wine/cheese, picnic lunch, dinner for two ingredients, speciality snacks, etc. can be purchased through contacting the host in advance of your stay.
