Behind the Cook’s Corner Office Complex (at 2889 General Puller Highway) the County constructed a 2457 foot long nature trail through the woods. There was a ribbon cutting on May 5, 2022. The trail is made of mulch, with wetland bridge crossings in a beautifully forested area. There is a parking area and picnic tables. The next phase of the project will incorporate history-based kiosks designed and installed on the trail, explaining the history of the area. The contractor for the project was Parsley Siteworks, and the project manager was Bay Design.

The Heritage Trail is open from dawn to dusk. Please do not ride bicycles on the trail.
