Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Park

Discover this bold Patriot Red sign at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Park. It is considered one of the largest in the state. The letters measure more than 8’ in height and 4’ in width. Cozy up in the center of the “O” for the perfect travel shot. After you do, step back into time and explore the museum. It honors and explains boatbuilding skills that made the Deltaville area famous. Here, you can also enjoy a long walk in Holly Point Nature Park, which features a children’s garden, nature trail walk, kayak launch, picnic tables and a pier walk.  You may be lucky enough to discover a farmer’s market, outdoor concert, or seafood festival here! Lt. General Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller Park

This fun LOVE sign captures everything we love in our region: history, oysters, agriculture and boating. It’s located in Middlesex County at the Lt. General Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller Park next to the Middlesex County Museum and Visitors Center.  At the museum, you’ll get up close and personal with artifacts like prehistoric whale bones, Native American arrow points, a model of an General Store, old maps, Civil Rights local pioneer Irene Morgan’s freedom medal that tell the story of our magical Middlesex County.  A variety of educational programming positions Middlesex County as a key character in the story of America’s beginnings. You’ll get to know and love the local military heritage featuring  Lt. Colonel Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller, the most decorated Marine in Corps history!

Urbanna Town Marina

Talk a walk by the water to see this LOVE sign. Visit us at the Urbanna Town Marina where you can sit on the dock for hours and watch deadrise boats, kayaks, and yachts flow in and out of boat slips and down the river. This is also where festivals like the Urbanna Oyster Festival take the stage. If you want to impress your friends with some trivia, you can tell them this particular LOVE sign was created using boat building techniques with wood, steel and fiberglass. This LOVE sign is ready for all seasons. The two-sided creation is based on two of Kilmarnock’s largest soirees: Kandy for Kids and the Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade. Depending on the mood, you can discover the sign in spooky or Santa mode. No matter the time, though, you’ll find it located in one of Virginia’s most enchanting towns.
