DESCRIPTION:With Christchurch being hailed as one of the premier sailing high schools in the nation\, campers in our new “Adventure Sailing on the River” summer program will not only experience adventure by getting to “set sail on the river\,” but will also learn about expedition sailing\, seamanship\, exploration\, reliance\, problem solving skills\, and more.   For rising 4th\, 5th\, and 6th graders.  Bring your lunch. \n“Adventure Sailing on the River” is a one-week camp being offered as two consecutive 1-week sessions. This provides families the flexibility to either choose a week that works best with their schedule\, or register for both weeks if a longer and more comprehensive and sustained sailing camp experience is desired. \nQuestions? SUMMARY:4th Annual Rescue Regatta
DESCRIPTION:The dates are set and the 4th Annual Rescue Regatta continues its tradition as a fundraiser for the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad and a FUN-raiser for the community. This exceptional event blends excitement on the water\, live music\, delicious food\, a lively auction\, and the spirit of giving to support our dedicated volunteer rescue squad who serve Middlesex County 24/7. \nLast year’s event (RR25) set a high mark\, with moments like the Colonial Seaport Foundation’s Luna joining the fleet and writing a $30\,000 check to MCVRS. While it is our most successful year yet\, thanks to all the generous sailors\, sponsors\, and attendees\, we’re aiming even higher for RR26! \nThis year\, the Deltaville Maritime Museum – a key partner in making this event shine – has offered to host the festivities. We could not be more grateful to the folks at DMM!\nFishing Bay Yacht Club will again host and officiate the race. There would be no Rescue Regatta without the foundational support of FBYC.\nLooking for entertainment? We have you covered. The Midnight Ukulele Society out of Richmond will inspire audience participation with a familiar playlist\, and their unique sound and whimsical style on Friday evening. The Michael Clark Band feat. Tracy Clark on Vocals returns on Saturday evening because we just can’t get enough of that amazing sound! \nEvent Highlights:\nFriday\, July 31st\, 2026 – Happy hour at the Opti Bar with beer\, wine\, and signature cocktails at 4PM\, the Midnight Ukulele Society until 7:30PM\, light refreshments\, live auction previews\, tee shirt and swag sales\, skipper meeting and race registration\, Tickets: $12.\nSaturday\, August 1st\, 2026 – Racing begins at 11AM\, happy hour at the Opti Bar with beer\, wine\, and signature cocktails at 4PM\, the Michael Clark Band featuring Tracy Clark on Vocals until 9:30PM\, dinner\, dancing\, awards\, raffle\, and live auction beginning at 6:30PM\, Tickets: $35 for dinner + band; $25 for band-only. \nFor more information contact Lynn White or Tina Mennett at connect@rescueregatta.life or 804-313-9412.
