Bring along your furry friends for a day at the action-packed resort or stay for a whole week!  This resort is full of camper’s fun: swimming, biking, kayaking, grilling and community cornhole. Part of the camping lifestyle includes doggies riding around in golf carts!

 

Tides Inn

480 King Carter Dr, Irvington

A luxurious getaway awaits at the Tides Inn. Here your pets are welcome at certain times of the year! The staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious for the whole family. Spend days on the water, walking around the town of Irvington, or biking to Dog & Oyster Vineyard. The pet fee is $35 per pet per night, two pets per room, 75 lb limit. Rooms for pets are limited depending on occupancy. Please call ahead to ask if there are pet-friendly rooms available.

Both you and your dog will love this sweet cottage nestled in the woods in a private community in Irvington. Take your pup on the community nature trails or out for a paddle from our kayak launch. Our outdoor shower is perfect for muddy dogs. Enjoy a king bed, hot tub, ice bath (humans only please), and the simple pleasure of a slower pace. 2 dogs max. $25 per dog per night.

Deltaville Maritime Museum

This museum is much more than an indoor boating exhibit. Outside, you’ll discover winding nature trails, a children’s garden perfect for a puppy, open fields and docks overlooking Mill Creek. Bring along the family canine when you visit for some culture or jam to live music during the museum’s live music series, Groovin in The Park.

 

Scotty’s Yard

150 N. Main Street, Kilmarnock

In Town Centre Park, you’ll find 9 acres of fun for the family. The Half Shell Stage, Waterworks, River Play and Scotty’s Yard dog park bring music, farmer’s markets and other events to life. Scotty’ Yard features separate play areas for small dogs (under 30 lbs.) and larger dogs. Let your fur babies run free (within the dog park) while you enjoy some fun in the sun, too!

Merroir

The River Realm is full of great foodie spots. This one has a view. Rappahannock Oyster’s flagship restaurant Merroir has plenty of outdoor seating, including a new outdoor bar created from the iconic boat of the Chesapeake Bay, the deadrise. Enjoy fresh oysters, tuna tataki, or smoked fish dip while your pups play among oyster shells and along the water. 

Chao Phraya Thai and Sushi Grill

45 South Main Street, Kilmarnock

If you’re craving a bit of a twist on seafood, visit Chao Phraya. The restaurant serves up authentic Thai food including sushi and nigiri in a warm, intimate setting. This includes an outdoor courtyard, where your pup can join you and your friends for dinner.

More foodie spots are waiting for you and your pup in Kilmarnock. Pull up a seat on the patio of Thai Pot for more of our favorite asian bites in the area. You’ll find classics like Pad Thai and curry alongside seafood specialities like steamed mussels and asparagus and shrimp.

Stevie’s Ice Cream

Nothing cools everyone down after a long day on the water like ice cream, including your dog, who can enjoy his or her own ice cream at Stevie’s in Kilmarnock. Alongside classics on the menu like soft serve and sundaes, you can order a “pup cup” just for your furry friend. 

Deltaville Tap & Raw Bar

1134 Timberneck Road, Deltaville, VA

We’ve got a new deck in town for you and your pooch to enjoy cocktails, fresh seafood, and views of the river and bay. Arrive to this Deltaville foodie haven by boat or by car. Enjoy local seafood favorites like raw oysters and Jonah crab claws.  Munch on a lunch special like the Fried Duck Egg sandwich or go for dinner classics like burgers, steaks and spaghetti. Either way, you and your dog will be living life the River Realm way.

One of our new favorite hangout spots in the River Realm is Kilmarnock Brewhaus. What’s even better is that you can bring your dog for an afternoon of laid back sippin and games with your friends on the outdoor patio. You can also bounce and dance to local live music along with your craft beer. 

Good Luck Cellars

1025 Goodluck Rd, Kilmarnock

This local wine lovers haven features food trucks, live music, and serene views. Enjoy award winning Viogner and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the fields of this former sand and gravel mine. Your dogs can enjoy the peaceful outdoors right alongside you in this secluded paradise. 

Dog & Oyster Microvineyard & Oyster Bar at Hope & Glory Inn

65 Tavern Road, Irvington, 22480

It’s in the name! Bring the dogs to Irvingont’s newest hub, the Dog & Oyster Microvineyard & Oyster Bar is now open Saturdays and Sundays with a simplified cuisine menu: house-made charcuterie and Bloody Mary oyster shooters. Three of our Dog and Oyster wines will be offered by the flight, glass, and bottle. The wines here were made by two of the best winemakers in Virginia as acknowledged by The Governor’s Cup and Savor Magazine.
