The first phase focuses on offshore breakwaters, beach restoration and expansion, and dune restoration with vegetation. Future phases will include a parking lot, a fishing pier, restrooms, and beautiful landscape plantings. This project promises a pristine shoreline for all to enjoy. Boaters can dock and refuel today at Windmill Point Marina.

Thomas Landing

Thomas Landing on Greenvale Creek, is a place for easy kayaking and paddling, especially for beginners. This park is set to be an all-accessible destination with its ADA compliant Courtesy Dock and Boat Ramp. It will also provide ample parking and Wi-Fi access, making it an excellent base for exploring the scenic Rappahannock River. 

Taylor Creek County Park

Taylor Creek, along the Corrotoman River, offers a serene escape for kayak and canoe enthusiasts, nature trails, an environmental learning center, and an outdoor classroom. The scenic overlook and shelter house add to the appeal, making it an ideal spot for family outings and educational adventures. First Phase Opening 2024.

Carter Cove County Park

Soon to be located at the mouth of Carter Creek, Carter Cove County Park is set to become a hub of activity and relaxation. Here, visitors can look forward to an Oyster Shucking House Learning Center, a boat ramp, kayak and canoe launches, a fishing pier, and a shelter house for picnicking. Nature enthusiasts can explore the nearby nature trails while taking in the breathtaking views. Completion 2026.
