Run Forest Run RVA at Kilmarnock Brewhaus

Apr 6, 2019 7:00 pm - Apr 6, 2019 10:00 pm

What follows would be a brief description of Run Forrest Run…a typical Bio that is usually pretty boring, and blah blah blah.  So, to spare you of all that, instead we are four people who have all reached their mid-life crisis in one form or another.  And what do you need when you’re in a mid-life crisis?  An outlet!!!  Although, beer can fill this void for us at any time, none of us like the idea of eventually having to go to meetings or being the subject of an ‘intervention.’  Instead, we self indulged ourselves by forming a band.  Now, there’s an interesting schematic somewhere that describes how we all met, but we’ll save you from that for now.  The only thing you need to know, in our opinion, is 1- we are in this for fun, 2- we’re not trying to make a million dollars, 3- we don’t take ourselves seriously, and 4- we’re really not that good (except for Marcy…she can sing her ass off!)  All this, allows our families to put up with us a few more hours each week because we do not focus our real issues of getting old, fat, not having any money, or our bodies working the way they did when we were in our 20s (again, except Marcy…she looks great!!!)

Why the name Run Forrest Run?  Why not?!?!  Just a phrase anyone from our generation would recognize.  Other names that were considered were 1- Mid Life Crisis (duh!), 2- Identity Crisis, 3- Beyond the Pale, 4- Free Beer, 5- Marcy and the Greyhounds

It was a close vote, and we think it was a hanging chad that was the decisive vote.

Anyway….this is us.  Come see us.  We’ll love to see you and give you a reason to get out of the house.  We may take requests from time to time, but we’d mostly keep playing anyway!
