The Eighth Annual
Holiday Marketplace is Back!
The museum’s marketplace has become a family tradition. Opening the Friday after Thanksgiving, it gives attendees an opportunity to buy unique gifts for family and friends while supporting the museum.
We are proud to announce extended hours for the 2021 marketplace! Opening weekend for the Marketplace is Friday, Saturday and Sunday November 26 -28 from 10am-4pm Friday and Saturday and 1-4pm Sunday. You will also be able to shop on the three following weekends in December on Saturdays from 10am-4pm and Sundays from 1pm-4pm!
Artisans will once again present unique work at the Eighth Annual Holiday Marketplace. Jewelry, books, cards, ceramics, purses, baskets and more will make one-of-a-kind gifts. Some of the artisans participating are Blue Nose Creative Co. with quilts and sewn items, Chesapeake Press with unique Christmas cards, Wooden Hook with knitted hats and scarves, The Passage with earrings and purses and Mac Craft Wood with unusual tasting spoons.
The museum shop will be filled with holiday gifts and decorations. A new poster of Steamboats on the Chesapeake Bay will be available along with posters of the Chesapeake Bay Steamboat Stops and Northern Neck Cannery Labels.
A 72” x30” scarf, featuring a vintage style map of the Chesapeake Bay showing steamboat ports, is a favorite choice of shoppers. It makes a very unique Northern Neck gift. The soft scarf is easy to wear in different ways and shows the entire Bay from Baltimore to Norfolk.
There are many new book titles in the gift shop. Something for everyone on your list!
All proceeds from the Marketplace support the museum.
