Historic Garden Week

May 2

Join Middlesex for the Historic Garden Week Tour on Friday, May 2nd 2025. Nestled against the Chesapeake Bay, the Middlesex County Peninsula is located between the Rappahannock and Piankatank Rivers offering sweeping views along its 150-mile coastline. This tour features homes that both avid gardeners and historians will enjoy. Showcased properties include Cupalow, a 1867 farmhouse surrounded by well-loved gardens, and San Souci, a 1840 home filled with antiques. Providence was completed in 1760 and includes extensive gardens as well as a replica of an 18th century trading sloop docked there. The tour ticket includes three other nearby properties which architecturally blend land and sea, for a total of six sites.
