From Adam

Mar 24, 2018 7:00 pm - Mar 24, 2018 10:00 pm

From Adam, a seriocomic play in ten scenes, focuses on the universal issues of loss, deep familial love, caring and especially caregiving. A rare mixture; it is the story of two families,  two very different caregivers and their family charges; two persons existing in different stages of Alzheimer’s disease. At the play’s center there is a lively, vaudevillian entertainment of stories and jokes, props and musical instruments –as comical as it is ultimately moving.

*$3 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association

PLEASE NOTE: FROM ADAM contains Strong Adult Themes and Language

The theater’s origin dates from 1970 when a group of mothers sought to create something to fill their children’s time outside of school. Though successful, children’s plays and puppet shows quickly gave way to plays and musicals for the entire family. As a community theater, the small and enthusiastic band of thespians began staging productions for equally enthusiastic Northern Neck friends and neighbors using various facilities in the area. In its second decade of existence, the Lancaster Players found its very own home, a former fire station in White Stone that was transformed into a small and intimate playhouse.
