Deltaville Maritime Museum- Holiday Gift Market

Thanksgiving is on its way, and with it Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park “Holiday Gift Market” The Maritime Park is a “shopper friendly” alternative to the traffic and congestion of the stress of the holiday season. Holiday vendors will line the avenues and gardens toward the waterfront as the Park shows off its autumn colors.  All the Park’s trails and gardens are open for strolling or just sitting and relaxing. Grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate at Billz Bistro, opens at 8:00 am with a special breakfast “to go lunches.”

Looking for that extra special and unique gift for a certain someone for Christmas? You can find it here.  Over 30 vendors, many with Christmas and gift oriented items for this special market.

All the Park’s trails and gardens are open for strolling or just sitting and relaxing.

The Nationally Historic Registered F.D.Crockett restored buyboat will be at the dock, offering tours.  The Museum’s John Smith replica shallop, “Explorer” will be on display.

Captain Pete(Cardozo), , will be at the helm of the restored deadrise “Only Son” offering free creek cruises of Mill and Jackson Creeks. , The “Only Son” is graciously on loan from the Farinholt Brothers at Chesapeake Boat Works for the market.

The Deltaville Maritime Museum opens early at 9:00 am with all of the boat building and Chesapeake Bay exhibits.  The Museum gift shop will be open with unique gifts for everyone.  The Museum will remain open until 4:00 pm.

All craftsmen, artists and vendors who have gift and Christmas oriented items and wish to be a vendor at the Holiday Market, call  the Museum office. There is plenty of room in Holly Point Park.

Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park, a volunteer, all donation, non-profit organization, is located in Deltaville, VA. at 287 Jackson Creek Road. To get to the Museum and Park, follow Route 33 through Deltaville and turn right across from the Citgo Station.
