The Lancaster Players present Teddy’s Piece, a one-woman play written and developed by Rema Keen and Kate Larken. Scheduled for one weekend only, April 17–19, the play is based on the true story of Keen’s grandmother, Lillian Estelle “Teddy” McCoy Wright Triplett.
Through storytelling and music, Teddy’s Piece creates a vivid oral tapestry that takes audiences from the coal mines of Appalachia to New York City and a tuberculosis sanatorium in Florida. Keen portrays Teddy from age nine to 73 without leaving the stage, weaving together memories of childhood, marriage, motherhood, loss, and perseverance.
The Lancaster Players Box Office is now open for reservations at lancasterplayers.org.
Performances:
• Friday–Saturday, April 17–18 at 8:00 p.m.
• Sunday, April 19 at 3:00 p.m.
