For the Rappahannock, From the Rappahannock

Nov 12, 2016 1:00 pm - Nov 12, 2016 4:00 pm

Celebrate the environmental benefits of native oysters with a glass of wine around a toasty fall fire. The fourth annual From the Rapphannock, For the Rappahannock event featuring Oysters For Life takes place Saturday, Nov. 12, at the scenic Oyster Co. of Virginia (OCVA) conference center on Long Point Lane in Topping.

Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR), a Fredericksburg-based, non-profit environmental advocacy group. FOR organizes this gathering of River Friends, featuring Virginia oysters, regional wines and local craft brews, plus live acoustic music. “It’s our way of introducing these items to folks who are interested in supporting conservation efforts in the Rappahannock River and the Chesapeake Bay,” said Harrigan. “We’re proud to partner in OCVA’s Oysters For Life program. It’s good for the environment, good for our local watermen, and we always make new friends who share our appreciation for natural resources.”

$30 for a single or $50 per pair., only 100 tickets available
